Release Notes 4.2.290
We are pleased to announce release 4.2.290 for the ArkWorks product. This new release
is available within the ArkWorks program by accessing the “Tools” menu and selecting
“Check for Updates”.
-Advanced Form Delivery printing from TaxWorks to ArkWorks blocks importing when
user log-in has been restricted in the ArkWorks security settings.
-Addition of both an Insurance and Real Estate cabinet template with customized
folders applicable for each industry.
-E-mailing through Outlook 2003/2007 allowed when e-mail address is included in
the drawer information.
-All documents clear from the Inbox after Split and Merge function is complete.
-Updated the ArkWorks licensing process to eliminate the need for repetitive keying
and resetting of the Activation Keys when performing updates, network installations
and using different Windows or ArkWorks accounts on the same machine.
-Added new functionality giving users the control to de-authorize a computer to
allow for reassignment of the license key to a new machine.
-Improved performance when switching between drawers in large cabinets.
Release Notes 4.2.281
We are pleased to announce release 4.2.281 of the ArkWorks product.
This new release is available within the ArkWorks program by accessing the Tools
menu and selecting “Check for Updates”.
You must have already installed the previous 4.2 release that went out in June, in
order to access the updates for this release. If you have not done this, you must
complete the following on the ArkWorks website: Access the ArkWorks 4.2
release at: http://arkworkspro.com/arkworksdownload.aspx . Select the “Download
ArkWorks Installation Package” link. Follow the step by step instructions based
on your set up.
Below are the enhancements included in this release:
-Password protection when e-mailing multiple documents
-Security controls for e-mail and split and merge functions
-Multi-level security protection
-Image quality controls for Split and Merge function
-Option to open a document upon checkout
-Updated document load process to increase speed
-Saved settings for web based email servers

We are pleased to announce release 4.2.266 of the ArkWorks product. To access the
new enhancements for this release click on the Tools menu and select “Check for
Updates”.
You must have already installed the previous 4.2 release in order to have access
to the updates. If you have not done this, you must complete the following on the
ArkWorks website:

-Import documents via the “Send To” feature integrated in Windows®.
-Preview an enlarged PDF thumbnail of a document by hovering over the image with
the mouse pointer.
-Merge or split PDF files.
-Attach multiple documents to an email.
-Auto populating of the e-mail address entered in the drawer information.
-Additional cabinet default for 2010 folder.
-Multiple document functionality to move, re-file, delete, export, modify maturity
date, and check out.
-Restore and re-file documents from recycle bin.
-Additional columns & display functionality for document list & ID, notes, search
keys, audits & maturity date.
-Security restrictions for e-mail functionality.
-Import existing directories expanded.
-Customize column display.
-Supports multiple users per machine.
-Updated Help file information.
Release Notes 4.2
We are pleased to announce that ArkWorks has been updated to be compatible with
Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), Windows Vista (64 bit) and Windows Server 2008 operating
systems. The supported databases now include SQL Server 2008.
We have also included the following upgrades:
Improved installation process
Document View Screen:
- Ability to view more than 500 documents in a folder
- Fixed column headings
- Grid format display
Audit Trail:
- Log actions only once
- Add entry when documents are annotated
- List all deleted documents not just those deleted from the recycle bin.

Cabinet folder templates for 2009 and 2010
Message to prompt for full back-up of the ArkWorks data structure and documents,
with a link to step-by-step instructions
